About
In the summer of 2015, Elijah Akerley, Romario Caceres, Zane Timpson, along with Pablo Ramirez and myself (Adam Anorga) left San Francisco and headed north toward Portland, Oregon. If you’ve ever been on a skate trip with your friends, towards the end (or even at the beginning) you start to feel absolutely insane. Collectively, you disassociate from society. Everything becomes a joke and life stops making sense. This overwhelming amount of new raw experiences tears your daily routine into a spectacular new reality where normative standards of living start to fade (in an insightful way). Together, present, and in motion, we spiraled; a perpetual forward into otherness. When you’re fully Awaysted, you know. As a skateboarder it’s kind of this place where the most magic can happen. You start making spontaneous decisions which produce spontaneous results. When embracing this mindset, you may find yourself at the intersection of intense exhaustion and absolute freedom. It isn't good or bad, rather a feeling of it's own. To act from this place is where we've found our truth and purpose, and to be immersed in this feeling is to be Awaysted.
In loving memory of Pablo Ramirez (1993-2019) & Zane Timpson (1995-2021).
